But it turns out that the American media will turn "tricks" for foreign johns as well ...

Specifically, three time Emmy award winning reporter Amber Lyon was until very recently a respected CNN reporter:

Lyon was fired from CNN after she refused to stop reporting on her first-hand experience of the systematic torture and murder of peaceful protesters by the government of Bahrain.

Lyon's special report on Bahrain was scheduled to run on both CNN's U.S. and international networks, but was pulled after only a limited showing due to pressure from the Bahrainis and their lobbyists.

At the same time that Lyon was risking her life to do on-the-ground reporting in Bahrain, another CNN journalist was filming a paid propaganda piece on how the Bahraini leaders are a bunch of friendly pro-democracy reformers.

That's right ... the Bahraini government paid CNN to do what was literally an infomercial for that brutal regime and pretend it was real journalism.

Lyon says that China and many other foreign, authoritarian regimes also pay CNN and other mainstream networks to run flattering propaganda pieces.

Bombshell: CNN takes money from foreign dictators to run flattering news stories about them

(NaturalNews) Those of you who are regular readers of Natural News - and your numbers are many - may not always agree with points of view expressed here, but we believe you at least consider us a trustworthy news source, a point driven home by the tens of millions of page views we receive every month.

That said, how much trust would you place in us if, say, we were being paid to put out certain information or relate only a singular point of view? We're guessing that number would be much, much smaller.

Yet that's what one establishment media organization - CNN - appears to be doing, according to multiple sources who say the network has begun engaging in a practice of killing stories that portray governments and countries which have become the network's sugar daddies in a bad light.

Silencing government response to the 'Arab Spring'

In March 2011, you may recall, much of the Middle East began to erupt. This "Arab Spring," as the general movement has been labeled, began as simple protests by seething opposition groups against long-time Arab dictators but soon exploded into full-fledged revolution and, in the case of Libya and Syria, civil war.

Early on, CNN sent a four-person crew to Bahrain to do an investigative piece "on the use of internet technologies and social media by democracy activists in the region," Glenn Greenwald, of Britain's The Guardian newspaper, reported in September.

The team, led by veteran reporter Amber Lyon, a three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, had a most eventful eight-day stay in the small Washington-backed kingdom, which is home, by the way, to the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet.

By the time Lyon and her crew arrived, a number of sources who had previously agreed to speak to them had either disappeared or took to hiding. Opponents of the Bahraini regime who did speak to them suffered government-led recriminations, "as did ordinary citizens who worked with them as fixers," Greenwald wrote.

'It made clear just how willing the regime is to lie'

In one case, leading human rights activist Nabeel Rajab was arrested for allegedly fabricating a photo of a dead man who appears to be on a table in a medical examiner's office (no details were provided by the Bahraini police site about how the man died).

In another case, Saeed Ayyad, a doctor who gave the crew a tour of his village before arranging meetings with government opponents, had his house burned down shortly thereafter.

In still another case, the crew's local fixer was fired 10 days after working with them.

Lyon and her crew were even violently detained by agents of the regime in front of Rajab's house. They later described the encounter after returning to the U.S. as being accosted by "20 heavily armed men" whose faces were "covered with black ski masks" and who "jumped from military vehicles" before they "pointed machine guns at" them, then forcing them all to the ground. The security forces proceeded to seize the crew's cameras, deleting photos and video footage before interrogating them against their will for six hours.

The experience "both shocked and emboldened" Lyon, Greenwald wrote.

The following morning after her detention, she said newspapers in the kingdom prominently featured reports about the incident that contained what she described as "outright fabrications" by the government.

"It made clear just how willing the regime is to lie," Lyon told Greenwald last month.

But the episode strengthened her resolve as well; she committed to exposing how abusive and thug-like the regime had become in attempting to quash the fledgling democracy movement, as well as any negative coverage of the government's inevitable response.

"I realized there was a correlation between the amount of media attention activists receive and the regime's ability to harm them, so I felt an obligation to show the world what our sources, who risked their lives to talk to us, were facing," she said.

CNN's cost for the team to travel to Bahrain to get the story was north of $100K, "an unusually high amount for a one-hour program of this type," according to The Guardian; the story was titled, "iRevolution: Online Warriors in the Arab Spring," and it took up a 13-minute segment of the program, (it is now available on YouTube).

Per Greenwald:

In the segment, Lyon interviewed activists as they explicitly described their torture at the hands of government forces, while family members recounted their relatives' abrupt disappearances. She spoke with government officials justifying the imprisonment of activists. And the segment featured harrowing video footage of regime forces shooting unarmed demonstrators, along with the mass arrests of peaceful protesters. In sum, the early 2011 CNN segment on Bahrain presented one of the starkest reports to date of the brutal repression embraced by the US-backed regime.

The highly award-winning segment, which was praised by thousands of Bahrainis on Facebook as well, aired just once in the U.S.

Internationally, on CNN's sister network, CNNi, it never aired.

An expensive piece of hard-hitting, award-winning journalism never aired overseas. Why?

Government sponsorship of 'reporting'

"CNNi has aggressively pursued a business strategy of extensive, multifaceted financial arrangements between the network and several of the most repressive regimes around the world which the network purports to cover," writes Greenwald. "Its financial dealings with Bahrain are deep and longstanding."

Specifically, he notes, the network aggressively pursued - and then came to rely on - revenue from several Middle East regimes, in order to remain viable, especially after the 2008 economic recession, "which caused the network to suffer significant losses in corporate sponsorships."

The result: The employment of journalistically dubious ways to earn revenue from the very governments the network was created to cover.

The arrangement goes far beyond simple advertising agreements. According to CNN, programming is produced in what the network describes as an "in association with" type of arrangement with a government.

"These programs are then featured as part of CNNi's so-called 'Eye on' series ('Eye on Georgia,' 'Eye on the Philippines,' 'Eye on Poland'), or 'Marketplace Middle East,' all of which is designed to tout the positive economic, social and political features of that country," says Greenwald.

As you might have guessed, disclosure of these arrangements is often deft and wholly unnoticeable by all but the most trained journalistic eye.

In mid-July, Myles Smith, a Central Asia-based consultant, pointed out that a series CNNi produced on oil-rich Kazakhstan was similarly skewed - and similarly government-sponsored.

Paid coverage is akin to tainted coverage

"Most of the spots are quirky, soft-core reportage and travelogue sprinkled with carefully framed shots of the glitziest parts of Astana and Almaty. Topics include economic diversification, transportation infrastructure, skiing, and dating games," he writes. "CNN International offers no coverage of labor strikes, human rights abuses, nascent violent insurgencies, violence against women, or any other diversions from the narrative of relentless growth and limitless opportunity."

Smith notes, "...[W]hat looks to the unsuspecting viewer like more of CNN at its finest appears in fact to be sponsored advertisements paid for by none other than Kazakhstan's oil-rich government."

As for Lyon, she says that China and many other foreign, authoritarian regimes also pay CNN and other mainstream networks to run flowery, flattering propaganda pieces. And what's more, she says a number of reporters and producers at the network have privately complained about the paid-sponsorship of programming, but believe they can't complain publicly out of fear they will be blacklisted within the news industry and branded troublemakers.

Couple this revelation with our earlier coverage of an admission by The New York Times that many mainstream media stories are actually scripted by the White House, and you get a sense of why Natural News and a number of other leading "alternative" sites are where information consumers are increasingly turning to for honest reporting.

Shifting In The Land Of The Shiftless By Zen Gardner

The Shift is here. Big time. So many people are experiencing the stepped-up strange changes and shifts in perception it’s amazing. Time seems altered, perception seems to be slipping. Many are feeling almost drugged by it.
It’s moving fast. It’s not easy to describe but the effects change perception, your sense of timing and energy, and some are even sensing physical earth changes around them.
And it’s all good!…that is, unless we resist the change.

Trends Now Appearing

I’m seeing some very interesting trends of late in light of these changes, both inspiring and disconcerting.
On the surface, some of these trends seem to contradict each other, but really they’re manifestations of the same vibrational change in the midst of the mounting matrix clampdown and we have to see them as such. And these choices remain choices for each and every one of us.
That’s why commitment brings peace.
But I digress.
We are looking overall at a very basic choice humanity is being forced to make. Do we open up to these vibrational changes, or do we align our lives with the non-thinking, unfeeling fascist clampdown on humanity? It’s always been this way but this current exponentially growing intensity is precipitating a crisis.
A good one.
Do we stay open and conscious, or yield to the oppression for seeming personal safety and security?
You’ll see this choice radically evident as the days go by.

Now You See It…Now You Don’t?

Within the more conscious community there is apparently another choice at work. It appears to me from what I’m seeing that while so many “get” it and are open to these expanding changes, even though it’s a somewhat confusing time, a reluctant contingent are apparently fainting in their minds and stumbling backwards into a sort of resignation mode.
And something’s strange and very wrong about it.
We can’t mess with free choice and never should. But what I don’t like is this creeping cynicism I’m sensing. How come some people in the alternative community are caving in to this growing sense of hopeless resignation? I can understand a little spiritual withdrawal in the light of obvious truths, but arm-folding and snide remarks that only disparage and discourage?
Is this a form of insecure self-justification?
Preparation for and resignation to some obvious very probable eventualities at our doorstep has its place. But quitting conscious participation in the awakening is another. Did these people never really get free and see the full picture in the first place,  and are getting sucked back into the gravity of the matrix?
Something to think about.
Seems we could be getting another level of sifting and testing. Sounds about right. That’s how it works.

Only We Can Stop Ourselves

Let’s face it, so many are preparing and screaming about the deliberate implosion of the world’s current structure so that’s nothing revelatory any more. The headliner should be the overriding power of consciousness and conscious awareness of the greater Truth. As serious as our current circumstances are they’re essentially just part of the play we’re in. We’re active players, yes, yet we can also transcend the playing field to see the bigger, truer picture.
Even more so, our influence is universal and eternal. Never lose sight of that or you’ll give up in the face of any adversity.
When someone says, “No. No further. Can’t do it, not me..” it’s over. It won’t be over for me, but it’s over for them. Them and all of those they were the possible link to, whom they could have influenced for the better had they said “Yes!” and kept on.
Remember: Only we can stop ourselves. We have the majesty of choice. Nothing can take that away.
And your decision affects everyone else. Everyone. So does mine.

New Life, New Energy, New Challenges

It’s happening. Even though this consciousness shift and vibrational empowerment is paralleling the dark side’s efforts to shut everything down and suppress us, this amazing cosmic rift is ripping open fantastic new energies and bringing new life at new levels to our planet and all its living creatures.
To the already awake it’s more easy to discern what’s going on and to ride these waves, although it’s challenging even to the most seemingly seasoned “astro-surfers”. To the newbie and those just now getting the cosmic nudge, it can be pretty disconcerting.
Choosing to get “on board” is generally pretty instinctive to the pure in heart.
But some aren’t so sure, sorry to say.
My concern is their cynicism will infect others. They should cool it and keep their fainting to themselves.

We Need Each Other

People are finding and giving support and realizing how much we have in common and need each other more than ever. We’re looking for strength, community, support. It’s there but it’s difficult to find in many cases. The forums and comments sections are a manifestation of this hunger, as well as the burgeoning social media phenomena.
On top of that, people have their own personal mailing lists where they keep loved ones and new friends up to speed on important developments.
My heart goes out to these people. I want to reach out and help them in any way I can. In most cases they help me more than I help them as far as I’m concerned. The yearning is mutual amongst all of us but we often don’t realize it until we make contact. Then the energy gets exchanged.
It’s a beautiful thing. I’m blown away daily by the amazingly informed and conscious, loving people I correspond with and those who visit my site and how they appreciate and support each other.
That’s how it’s supposed to work.

That’s No Melancholy Baby

I’d say beware this melancholy resignation that’s creeping in. A major conflagration is about to happen, yes, but we have to see through and beyond it. A misdirected, down-turned attitude will lead to defeat and deliberate disempowerment to those who entertain it and those they influence, intentional or not.
The decision to ultimately look to the spiritual like never before as a way of refuge and personal empowerment is a good one. But don’t withdraw from the fray. Everyone’s participation is crucial. You can remain a participant in spirit if nothing else.
Remember, the shift is hitting everyone. It’s not just real in the life or mind of the conscious experiencer. It hits everyone. Just because someone cannot yet, or refuses to, see the Truth around them and draw some startling conclusions as to what’s really going on, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
We do not need mass endorsement for anything.

Seeing Past the Conflagration: Consciousness is Never Wasted

Seeing past the coming conflagration is really important at this time. As more and more revelations come to light in all aspects of society and knowledge, science, and every sphere of understanding, these imprints on the collective conscience will not be lost. Although much of what science and mainstream media is beginning to confirm and publicize may appear to be too little and too late, it’s not in the grand scheme of things.
However this next chapter unfolds, it is my conviction that humanity’s collective conscience will retain what it has learned through the awakening we’re all experiencing.
This may seem a bit esoteric to some, but when you know there is no such thing as death it’s an easy flow.
Get there…it’s a nice, peaceful place. And you can see a whole lot more clearly from there!

Humanity’s Force Multiplier and the Ballast of Love!

While a massive depopulation program is well under way via the genetic altering and toxification of our planet, every conscious soul born to this world adds ballast to the human experience and hence our conscious growth, especially as we’re shifted into higher frequencies of consciousness.

Conclusion: There’s No Disengaging from the Shift

We can and should retreat to meditative states for periods of time, but these cosmic changes are as inescapable as the influences of the sun on humanity and they’re affecting every sphere of creation, and we need to participate in as many of these spheres as we’re called to.
We’re part of a marvelous Universe with unlimited potential. We each share that unlimited potential.

Activating Healing Timelines Brings us into the ‘Blessings Zone’

As we move further into the new time we enter new levels of awareness and empowerment.
Our attention naturally turns to aspects of ourselves still struggling with wounds of the past. If we have judged our younger selves, now is the time to replace that judgment with compassion. The first steps toward oneness are taken internally as we embrace and assist ourselves throughout time.
Separation Wounds and Isolates
Parasitic thoughtforms of separation not only separate us from others but from other aspects of ourselves. This leads to a sense of isolation and internal strife that uses up our energy and distracts our focus. A present-moment self influenced by thoughts of separation isolates itself from its past and future. This person might despise the mistakes of their past while creating a present moment that will shackle and harm their future.
Journeying into the Past to Heal Ourselves across Time
As we awaken we see through the illusion of separation and step into our true nature which is love and compassion. From a perspective of greater awareness, it is easy to see the path ahead involves a journey into the past to heal and free aspects of ourselves still trapped in cycles of suffering. In this way, we become the higher self to our other selves, working to unify and heal aspects of our consciousness across time. This is a key step on the path to ascension. 
Shining the Light of our Awareness on Past Traumas
Some past struggles can be healed simply by shining the light of our present-moment awareness on them. As we allow younger aspects to see old traumas through the lens of our present-moment understandings, we facilitate healing. This healing frees emotional energy being used to “bookmark” past traumas so we can return and release them.
Healing Timelines can Release us from Deeply-Held Traumas
It may happen there are deeper traumas that need more than our present understandings to heal them. Working with timelines is one path to this deeper healing process. By creating an adjacent or parallel healing timeline we can take conscious steps toward healing the deeper wounds that have tethered us to cycles of struggle and suffering – in this lifetime and others.
Deep Traumas Result from Harmful and Irrevocable Decisions
Deep traumas result from moments in the past where we made a decision that resulted in harm to ourselves or others. These incidents often happen early in a lifetime when our spiritual understandings are less engaged. The greatest trauma is the realization that our decisions and our actions have created irrevocable harm. No matter what we do from this moment on, we can never change a past action or its consequences.
When we experience a traumatic event that can’t be changed, we are left with a cacophony of troubled emotions. This can lead to a sense of being haunted by the past. Invariably this creates energetic bookmarks where aspects of our consciousness are literally trapped in a past we feel we have no power to change. This trauma keeps spinning in our energy field, drawing to it new traumas until we learn to transform it. If a deep trauma is not healed in our present lifetime, it enters cellular memory and is carried forward into other lifetimes where we will have other opportunities to find healing.
We can Transform but Never Change a Traumatic Timeline
We can transform an existing timeline but we can never change it. Once a timeline has come into our experience, it cannot be changed. In order to facilitate healing through timelines, it is essential for us to accept that we can’t change timelines of the past. We can’t change them but we can transform our experience of them by creating a healing timeline parallel to the timeline where the traumatic event occurred.
It doesn’t matter where in time this trauma occurred. Time is a human construct – a tool that allows our consciousness to break experience into segments. All life is one infinite moment experienced throughout what we think of as time. This is why it is possible to take steps in our present moment to heal traumas of the past – even distant ones.
Activating Healing Timelines Parallel to a Traumatic Timeline
Although we can’t undo an existing timeline, we can envision and activate a “healing timeline” that exists adjacent or parallel to the traumatic timeline. This healing timeline doesn’t have to exist in the same timeframe as the wounding timeline. It does need to be similar energetically. The form a healing timeline takes is always up to us. We have a choice as to the form, direction and flow it takes. The main criteria is that a healing timeline must be related to the original timeline in some way that is significant and meaningful to us. It must also carry the same intensity and energetic investment as the original timeline.
Examples of situations that can benefit through creating an adjacent healing timeline are the young man who drinks and drives and causes a car accident that results in the death of others. The young woman who chooses to get an abortion and then second guesses that decision throughout her life. The young mother suffering from drug addiction who allows a relative to raise her children only to later find they were abused or harmed by the relative. These are only a few examples. Any situation that leaves one feeling haunted by the decisions of our past can be improved by creating healing timelines.
Creating a Healing Timeline brings us into the ‘Blessings Zone’
Creating a healing timeline releases any energy of self-blame. It allows us to step into a place of love and compassion within ourselves, which raises our vibration and heals us through time. A healing timeline allows us to enter a place of gratutude and acceptance for even the most difficult past moments. When we set the intention to heal ourselves through time we enter the “blessings zone” – the place where we are able to carry out our spiritual purpose by reaching out to others as a whole and unified being.
When we undertake a healing timeline, our life will change and dramatic and unexpected ways. As we move along this timeline we will notice that the trauma fades. The intensity of past traumas lessens as we embrace their lessons. The further we move along this timeline, the easier it is to see the blessings of the original experience and to feel gratitude for it.

Benjamin Fulford 10-1-12…”Operation Santa Claus”

The actual “Ben-given” title is, “United States of America Corporation looting individual bank accounts to postpone bankruptcy“. But to me, the main highlight of it all was “Operation Santa Claus”, or OSC. Here’s what Ben wrote about it.

“The White Dragon Societies believe there will be less fighting over who gets what slice of the pie if the pie is big and constantly growing. That is why it is proposing the not-so-secret “inside job,” to be code named OSC, short for Operation Santa Claus.
“This would be a giant operation involving the Chinese, Russian, American and other militaries together with industrialists and charities. The goal would be to make sure that every child on earth receives a present and a healthy, delicious meal on December 25th, 2012, the start of the new solar year.
“On that day, the Romans could symbolically return the old Menorahs to replace the ones stolen from the Temple of Solomon. After that a new temple could be built on the site of the original one beside the mosque and together with a Hindu Temple, A Buddhist Temple, a Church and a zone for alternative belief systems.
“The advantage of a plan like OSC is that it would show how much more humans can accomplish if you get them to sincerely agree to something than if you try to manipulate them with violent, divisive incidents triggered by paid hoodlums. Peace and prosperity are goals we all share.”

• …the Asians are doing their best to avoid collateral damage as they watch the slow motion implosion of the old order in the West.
• Although most leaders in the West are fully aware the old financial and geopolitical system is falling apart, they cannot decide what to do next.

United States of America Corporation looting individual bank accounts to postpone bankruptcy… (Operation Santa Claus)

The United States of America Corporation, a subsidiary of the bloodline family owned Federal Reserve Board, has resorted to stealing private funds, and blaming it on “Iranian cyber-attacks,” in order to stave off bankruptcy, according to CIA and other sources. This desperate stalling maneuver comes as the members of the old pentagram of power, David Rockefeller, George Bush Senior, Queen Elizabeth, Evelyn de Rothschild and the Pope all argue amongst each other over what to do next.
The overall picture is that the Queen and the Pope are funneling money to Obama and pushing for his re-election, while the Rockefellers and Bushes are looking towards Asia, according to both CIA and Vatican sources. This leaves the Rothschild’s out on a limb and isolated. Their plan to start war and mayhem in the Middle-East, prior to doubling oil prices, is now starting to look like a really bad, if not fatal, chess move.
Word has also now come back from the Vatican archives about the fate of the Menorahs taken from the Temple of Solomon by troops of the Roman Emperor Titus. According to a senior Vatican archivist,…

… the original Menorahs from the temple were melted down and turned into small statues that were distributed amongst various Romans and thus cannot be returned to the temple. However, the Vatican also has several solid gold Menorah’s dating back to the time of Jesus that they say they would be willing to hand over to an honorable group of Torah Jews. The Talmudic Jews, whose belief system is Babylonian and Sumerian but not Jewish, would not be considered qualified to receive the Menorahs, the Vatican sources say. Nonetheless, the willingness of the Vatican to make such a gesture would be very helpful to help start a not-so secret operation, code named OSC, that is being proposed by the White Dragon Society. We will talk more about this at the end of the news-letter but for now let us return to the geopolitical situation.

The fact that Israel has been saying since 1992 that Iran “is within a few months” of getting a nuclear weapon and needs to be attacked, is a clear sign the Rothschild game plan has been churning its wheels in the mud for a long time.
The fact that no Western ambassadors followed the Israeli ambassador out of the UN when Iranian President Ahmajinedad made his very peaceful speech, was another sign the apocalyptic plan to start world war in the Middle East has almost no support.
The recent killing of a US “Ambassador” at the non-existent US consulate in Benghazi, meanwhile, turns out in fact to have been the killing of a Bush agent by a Rothschild agent, according to CIA and MI6 sources. This was a proxy battle over oil, apparently.
The Pentagon, now that its Rockefeller and Bush factions have split from the Rothschilds, are seriously considering closing over 44 bases around Iran in order to speed up the collapse of the “attack Iran” Talmudic faction and put a definitive end to the constant “attack Iran” yapping by Rothschild thugs like Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Rockefeller and Bush groups realize that it is now Asia, and not the Middle East, where the main action will be and they are hoping to get a part of it.
However, attempts to start conflict between Japan and China or China and other neighbours, are not going to succeed because the Asians are not going to let themselves be fooled into a war that hurts everyone except the arms manufacturers and the usurious bloodline families.
Instead the Asians are doing their best to avoid collateral damage as they watch the slow motion implosion of the old order in the West.
Although most leaders in the West are fully aware the old financial and geopolitical system is falling apart, they cannot decide what to do next.
The bloodline families want to keep their privileges and dynasties intact even as they try to create a more gentle system that gives more “cake” to the commoners. The anti-bloodline gnostic illuminati want a permanent end to bloodline rule. The answer will be some sort of compromise.
The problem though, lies in deciding what sort of new financial and economic system should be used to replace the one that is now collapsing. One group, the Leo Wanta, Mike Cotrell “White Hats,” who were involved in collapsing the Soviet Union, think that trillions of dollars belong to them. Another group says it all belongs to the OITC. Then there are the program people who wish to address historical financial injustices in the West. Then there are the various Asian groups who have been cheated out of their gold and money for the past 100 years and are now demanding restitution.
